LeaseGreen modernised the wholesale store’s building automation and ventilation machines as well as building a heat recovery system for the heat condensers in the property. The new solutions reduced the heating costs of the property by almost 400 MWh per year. The electricity use and emissions were also drastically reduced.
The current automation at Heinon Tukku was also updated and extended by adding to the amount of sensors and a control points and connecting new energy-optimised programmes to the automation. The modernisation of the ventilation system included seven supply-air ventilation units, six exhaust-air ventilation units and one new roof extractor. In the future, heat will be recovered from the cooling unit condenser fluid.
It is in the interest of all Finns that buildings continue to be required to be energy efficient. An energy-efficient building will be expensive. The green transition requires not only cleaner energy production, but also a reduction in energy consumption.

Kojamo and LeaseGreen will carry out energy renovations in two Lumo buildings. The first geothermal project in Helsinki is underway and will be completed by the end of September 2025. The second project will start in spring 2026. Switching to geothermal heating will reduce the running costs of buildings and promote environmentally friendly urban living.
