A previously installed exhaust air recovery system was integrated into the overall system. <\/p>\n\n<p>As Oy Syv\u00e4kallio is a housing company consisting of four buildings located in Uittamo, Turku. Built in 1968, it has 156 apartments and about 250 residents. An extensive energy renovation was completed in autumn 2021.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The energy renovation was preceded by the installation of an exhaust air heat recovery system (PILP), which was previously installed in connection with the pipe renovation.<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;It halved our heating consumption,&#8221; says <strong>Juha J\u00e4ppinen<\/strong>, chairman of the board of the housing company.<\/p>\n\n<p>After the renovation, the housing company was connected to LeaseGreen&#8217;s remote optimisation service, which ensures that the new technology works as intended and the promised savings are realised. A single heating season is not enough: optimisation is carried out over several years. This ensures that the technology works at its best.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The energy renovation will cut Syv\u00e4kallio&#8217;s energy bill by another 50%. In euro terms, the savings are around \u20ac50 000 every year. An even bigger cut will be made to the carbon footprint of the housing company &#8211; a reduction of 85%, or 150 tonnes (CO2e) per year.
