The aim of the investments was to contain the maintenance costs of the properties and reduce the carbon footprint and repair debt. <\/p>\n\n<p>The renovation involved replacing the ventilation, cooling and lighting in a commercial and office building at Asemakatu 22-24 in Kuopio. Solar panels were installed on the building&#8217;s roof, and the data generated by the building automation system has been harnessed to control LeaseGreen&#8217;s intelligent cloud service. <\/p>\n\n<p>At the same time, a similar energy renovation was carried out at Keskustori 5 in Tampere. LeaseGreen and eQ Real Estate Funds are also jointly exploring the potential for modernising other eQ properties.<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;We have set strict targets for both energy efficiency and<sub>CO2 emissions<\/sub>. Improving and managing the environment is also important when modernising the technology of the properties,&#8221; says <strong>Kimmo Alaharju<\/strong>, Real Estate Director of eQ Real Estate Funds. <\/p>\n\n<p>eQ Real Estate Funds owns a total of 220 properties, divided into two funds, eQ Commercial and eQ Residential.
