The cooperation with LeaseGreen started with the energy renovation of a high-value property in Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4.<\/p>\n\n<p>Olympic champion<span class=\"apple-converted-space\"> <\/span><strong>Samppa Lajusen<\/strong><span class=\"apple-converted-space\"> <\/span>wants to be a pioneer in responsible real estate investing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samlacapital.fi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">.<\/a>  LeaseGreen designed and implemented an extensive energy renovation of a building in the centre of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4, which has previously served as a call centre and a registry office.<\/p>\n\n<p>The energy renovation included replacing the building&#8217;s ventilation and lighting and upgrading the building automation system.<\/p>\n\n<p>There were a lot of ventilation machines at Yliopistonkatu 28 &#8211; or rather an exceptionally high number per square metre. However, their technology was mostly outdated and they did not work as a whole. The renovation, designed and implemented by LeaseGreen, streamlined the ventilation and made the whole more manageable.<\/p>\n\n<p>The renovation reduced the building&#8217;s carbon footprint by 31% and annual energy consumption by 19%.
