LeaseGreen will provide building technology design and solutions as a turnkey delivery to the new campus of Lahti University of Applied Sciences (LUAS). The delivery includes automation system, air ventilation, heating and cooling and a solar electricity system. The new premises of LUAS will be built to the building which served previously as a manufacturing facility for Finnish furniture company Isku. The main contractor of the building project is SRV.
”We will integrate the heating, cooling, ventilation and energy production to a holistic system which will be controlled by a smart remote monitoring center. With innovative solutions we are making sure that the environmental impact will be minimised. The new campus of LUAS represents the top rank in Finland – both in terms of indoor conditions and emissions”, says Tomi Mäkipelto, CEO of LeaseGreen.
”Responsibility is one of our campus thesis, so minimising the carbon footprint is very important for us”, says the project manager of LUAS, Satu Hyökki. ”The new building technology system created by LeaseGreen will also offer working environment for our students which study this field.”
Saving energy up to 50%
The total floor area of the building is 78 000 m2. To the LUAS premises there will be installed 40 air ventilation units and over 500 air flow controls. The planned energy-efficient solutions will save 40% to 50 % energy compared to the typical solutions currently in use in education buildings.
According to Mäkipelto, LeaseGreen will carry responsibility about the commissioning, adjusting and optimising for two years after the equipment installations have been finalised.
”We will take care of equipment and indoor conditions with a new service solution. This will help us to take the best out of top-class technology.”
